Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use Style Translator at https://style-translator.pages.dev (the "site"). The site is run by an independent developer ("we", "us").
The short version
- The text you type is rewritten inside your browser. It is never sent to our servers or stored by us.
- We have no accounts, no sign-up, and no database.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and clicks. The text you type is never included.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Text you enter
The style rewriting runs entirely in your browser using built-in word lists and rules. Your text is not uploaded, logged, or saved by us, and it is not sent to any AI model. When you close or reload the page, it is gone.
Information collected automatically
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, which style is chosen, and whether a result was copied. Google Analytics may collect your browser and device type, approximate location (country or city), the pages you visit, and how you arrived at the site. It uses cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID> to tell visits apart. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The events we send never contain the text you type, your name, or your email address.
We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalization in Google Analytics. Google Analytics deletes user-level and event-level data after 2 months. Aggregated reports, such as visits per page, are kept longer and do not identify you. You can read how Google uses this data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Upgrade button. If you click a button about a paid plan, we record that the button was clicked. We do not ask for your email or any payment details.
Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies of our own. The only cookies on the site are the Google Analytics cookies described above.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are not set unless you click "Accept" in the cookie bar. Visitors in other regions can click "Decline" at any time. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Why we process this information
- To keep the site working and secure (our legitimate interest in running a safe website).
- To understand which styles and pages are useful so we can improve them. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we rely on your consent for analytics cookies; elsewhere we rely on our legitimate interest in basic, privacy-friendly statistics.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply to you and to improve the word lists. Emails reach us through Cloudflare Email Routing and a Google mailbox. We will delete your email if you ask.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Information is processed only by the service providers named above (Google and Cloudflare), which may process it in the United States or other countries.
Children
The site is made for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because there are no accounts or forms, the site does not ask for names, emails, or ages. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information about you, or to object to its use. Because we do not hold your name or the text you type, most of the data we have is the anonymous analytics described above. To use your rights, email us at hello@howtallai.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If the site starts using new services (for example, advertising), we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date before the change goes live.
