These Terms of Use apply to Style Translator at https://style-translator.pages.dev (the "site"), run by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site does
The site rewrites modern English text into playful styles such as Old English style, Shakespearean style, Middle English style, Victorian style, runic letters, Gen Z slang, and Southern accent. It works with word lists and simple rules inside your browser.
The site does not translate text into real historical languages. "Old English style" is not Old English (Anglo-Saxon), and the rune style is a letter-by-letter conversion of English, not Old Norse. Please read our Disclaimer at https://style-translator.pages.dev/disclaimer/.
Free to use
The site is free. There are no accounts. A button about a paid plan may appear; clicking it does not charge you or sign you up for anything.
Your text and the results
- You are responsible for the text you enter and for how you use the results.
- We do not receive or store your text, so we do not claim any rights over it or over the results. You may use the results for any lawful purpose, including personal and commercial use.
- Results can be wrong, odd, or inconsistent. Check them yourself before using them anywhere that matters, such as a tattoo, an engraving, a printed product, or schoolwork.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- use the site to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
- use the results to break the law or infringe someone else's rights;
- try to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or get around its security.
Our content
The site's design, text, and word lists belong to us unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page. Please don't copy the site as a whole or present it as your own.
Names and trademarks
Style names on the site describe a way of writing. They do not refer to, and are not endorsed by, any film, book, game, or company. All trademarks belong to their owners.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always be online, error-free, or that results will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its results, including the cost of a tattoo, engraving, print, or removal. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes and ending
We may change, pause, or stop the site at any time. We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will show when. If you keep using the site after an update, the new Terms apply.
Governing law
